My wife had a transplant of the endothelial corneal layer which has restored her sight, enabling her to drive again and admire my handsome face. Oh, all right, at least she can drive again...
But not everyone is so fortunate. This is really important progress, you don't really know how important vision is until you begin to lose it!
Aren't we supposed to have bionic lenses that give us vision 3x better than 20/20 by now?
Whatever happened to that?
