Are there any quiet drones? They already make a lot of noise on their own, imagine hundreds of them over your head day and night. The first time I heard one I thought I was next to a wasp nest.

It's going to be really cool to see, when drones start zipping around overhead all over the place.

Beyond the challenges of allowing a huge diversity of drones to operate in the same air space without any collisions, there'll also be security issues.

E.g. no anonymous drones - all must have a clear chain of responsibility. Maybe continuous monitoring/tracking/route scheduling. Maintenance and liability insurance requirements. Standards for collision avoidance capability. Standards for secure command/control so they can't be hijacked - including by 'authorities' (that just opens a vulnerability for bad actors to take control by hacking the authorities' system). Maybe a "drone patrol" - police drones that can zip after rogue drones and net them.

For about a week. Then, they'd be an annoyance.

When one crashes and kills your dog, or worse, your child, perhaps you'll get a standard insurance payout.

If this happened when I was a kid, my friends and I would do nothing but hunt them. We would hunt them with slingshots, bows, and pellet guns. We would be quite sophisticated about it, and we would get away with it.
